SOCIAL media has become more than just a platform for connection but a channel for reaching customers by brands.

Local findings of the report “Raising the Bar in APAC: How Media Quality and Performance Drive Outcomes done by DoubleVerify also found

Filipinos are among the most prolific consumers of digital content.

The report, which aims to provide the necessary data and insights to empower marketers in raising the standards of media quality, showed Filipino users utilizing social media for brand and product discovery (43 percent), brand and product research (56 percent), and product purchase (13 percent).

There are 8 social media platforms used by Filipinos: Instagram, Facebook, What’s App, X, YouTube, Viber, LinkedIn and Messenger. This is higher compared to the global average of 6.7.

The Philippines is number one in online video consumption with 50.7 percent of users watching vlogs every week.

About 76 percent of users spend more time online researching an important purchase.
