The peso vis-a-vis the US dollar depreciated to P58.32 on Thursday, losing 74 centavos from the previous day’s P57.58, as the market reacted to the US Federal Reserve’s decision to hold policy rates steady.
Based on data from the Bankers Association of the Philippines (BAP), the peso fell to P58.4 intraday, after opening at P57.86. Its strongest position was at P57.85.
