Following the success of the PCCI Cares Fur You Run for a Cause 2023, a second run with the same theme is set to take place. The Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) will host the PCCI Cares Fur You Run for a Cause 2024 on May 19 at Liwasang Ulalim, CCP Complex in Pasay City.
This family-oriented running event offers opportunities to bond with your family, including your pets, and run for a good cause.
PCCI has been organizing advocacy runs for six years. Its commitment to aiding underprivileged people in the country motivates them to continue supporting similar events. Proceeds from the annual run have supported various projects and disaster relief programs of PCCI’s Corporate Social Responsibility division.
For this year’s event, PCCI aims to extend its support to animal care due to the growing threat of animal cruelty.
“PCCI-CSR expresses its support for animal welfare. With this pet fun run for a cause, care and compassion should not only be given to people but also to our pets, who greet us joyfully when we return home,” said Nora Lacuna from the PCCI-CSR.
The PCCI-CSR committee believes this running event will raise awareness about holistic animal care, especially during the warm season, and contribute to a worthy cause. Studies show the importance of keeping pets active and hydrated during this time to prevent health issues like obesity and dehydration.
Furthermore, PCCI acknowledges the significance of rest and recreation in promoting healthy lifestyles among workers. Participating in this run for a cause also supports worthwhile projects for disaster relief and rehabilitation programs.
