Grab taps Manila tricycle drivers
Grab Philippines and the city government of Manila have partnered to provide livelihood opportunities to at least 2,000 tricycle drivers and displaced workers in the City of Manila. The drivers will be trained and onboarded as GrabFood and GrabExpress delivery-partners.
Grab will also be providing market access to at least 500 of the greatly affected micro, small and medium enterprises in the city so that they may continue operating their businesses digitally through the Grab app.
During the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Grab has provided mobility solutions to the healthcare workers and front-liners of Manila through GrabWheels, also Grab has dedicated its app to the City of Manila to arm its residents with the latest information on COVID-19.
Under the GrabBayanihan Socio-economic recovery program, individuals who are interested in being part of Grab’s Food or Express Delivery Fleet must be a resident of the City of Manila; at least 18 years up to 50 years of age; owns and knows how to operate a smartphone; owns and/or operates either of the following which can be used for delivery: a tricycle, a motorcycle, or a bicycle; in possession of a driver’s license issued by the Land Transportation Office, and is valid for at least 21 days before the expiration date.
Small business owners who wish to be part of the program must have the necessary business permits and other requirements issued by the City of Manila.
Tim Hortons rolls out CSR campaign

Tim Hortons Philippines recently expanded its corporate social responsibility initiative #TimsCaresPH to various COVID-19 initiatives.
Aside from relief efforts to hospitals and communities, it has partnered with HSBC for its Fill Your Cup Promo where customers’ earned rewards equivalent to Tim Hortons coffee can be donated to medical frontliners.
The promo, which has donated 3,788 cups in total, is extended until June 16 to help more healthcare workers.
The #TimsCaresPH initiative has provided aid to a total of 90 hospitals, health centers, checkpoints, and urban poor communities within the metro.

The coffee chain also tested its frontline employees for COVID-19 using FDA-approved rapid test kits from May 19 to 21 to protect the health of its customers and ensure its employees’ preparedness for the general community quarantine.

Mondelez Philippines has been sharing its snack products to health front liners and communities in danger of facing hunger since the beginning of the COVID-19 lockdown in March, with contributions amounting to some P14 million worth of products distributed by partners like Rise Against Hunger and more than 40 other organizations and individuals nationwide.
