The PPP Center currently has 176 projects in its public-private partnership (PPP) pipeline, worth an estimated P2.47 trillion.
Documents shared by the PPP Center with reporters on Tuesday showed that additions and deletions of projects have led to changes in the number of updated PPP projects in the pipeline and their estimated value.
The updated list compares with the PPP Center’s report on Dec. 4, 2024, which shows 172 projects in the pipeline with an estimated aggregate cost of P2.55 trillion.
Specifically, four national projects and 11 local projects were added to the updated list, while seven national projects and two local ones were delisted.
According to the center’s document, projects were added due to the unsolicited proposals it forwarded to the implementing agencies for evaluation on whether to reject or proceed with any of them.
Other projects submitted by the implementing agencies, as well as project updates received from PPP Center, were also cited as the reasons for the update.
The delisting of some projects was prompted by unsolicited proposals rejected by the implementing agency upon evaluation, as well as changes in the mode of implementation and failed negotiations for unsolicited proposals.
The projects added to the list, with cost estimates, were: the P1.28 billion Philippines Digital National Identity Sytem, the P4.35 billion Baguio – Pambansang Pabahay para sa Pilipino Program, the P1.42 billion Traveler Information and Data Security System, the P12.9 billion Francisco Bangoy International Airport Project, the P20 million Construction of New City Public Market with Multi-level Parking, the P3 million Trading Post/Bagsakan Center for wholesale and retail of agricultural products, the P2.7 billion Baguio Central Terminal and Cultural Center, the P1.3 billion Improvement and Management of the Water Supply and Sanitation Services of the Freeport Area of Bataan, and the P98o million Pasig Common Underground Network Project.
On the other hand, projects that were delisted include the P20 million Comprehensive Digital Housing Platform Project, the P2.48 billion High-Capacity Bus System in Iloilo City, the P98.5 billion Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 Rehabilitation, Operations, and Maintenance, the P83.19 billion Joint Venture for the Redevelopment of the Philippine National Oil Company and Department of Energy BGC Properties, the Zamboanga City Integrated Solid Waste Management System (cost yet to be determined), the P9.6 billion Electronic Invoicing and Tax Engine Systems Project, the P1.43 billion Rizal Park Western Section Development Project, the P1.3 billion Power Generation and Distribution in San Vicente Flagship Tourism Enterprise Zone, and the P4.24 billion Marinduque Decarbonization Project.
Some projects that were delisted include the New Bohol (Panglao) International Airport Project and the Operations and Maintenance of Pampanga Dialysis Centers Project. Both were removed from the pipeline after they have been awarded, and are now reflected on the list of projects under implementation.
