Continuing its commitment to social responsibility, Owndays Philippines (PH) , a leading Japanese eyewear brand, held its second “Cases for Change” event on March 1, 2024, at its SM Megamall flagship branch. The launch featured insightful stories and heartwarming testimonials aligned with this year’s theme: Philippine Animal Well-Being.

Owndays PH marketing manager Jammie Gregorio opened the event with a call to action: “Let’s spark the conversation for change today as we engage with our esteemed partners and reveal the cases that symbolize our shared commitment to this cause.”

The three partner organizations officially joined Owndays in advocating for animal well-being: Coastal Underwater Resource Management Actions (CURMA); The Philippine Eagle Foundation (PEF); ans Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS).

Representatives from each organization shared inspiring stories and critical issues. CURMA highlighted the vital role of sea turtles, PEF emphasized the threat to the Philippine eagle, and PAWS brought attention to the vast number of stray animals. All stressed the importance of responsible pet ownership and the interconnectedness of animal and human well-being.

Owndays PH managing director Vohne Yao and regional manager Takayuki Nagao unveiled the event’s highlight: beautifully designed collaboration cases by graphic artist Kairah Cooper.

Each case supports a specific organization, with 100 percent of proceeds going directly to them. This empowers customers to choose their preferred cause and fosters discussions about animal welfare.

With “Animal Well-Being” as the core theme, Owndays aims to raise awareness about the challenges faced by Philippine animals in various environments.

This initiative supports crucial efforts like building a Philippine Eagle Conservation Breeding Sanctuary, releasing sea turtle hatchlings, and aiding animals in need.

The “Cases for Change” eyeglass case is available nationwide at all Owndays stores from March 1 to June 1 or until supplies last.
