Net foreign direct investments (FDI) in the Philippines dropped 26.9 percent to $3 billion by end-May, down from $4 billion a year earlier, the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) said on Monday.
However, net FDI for May alone rose 21.3 percent to $586 million, up from $483 million in May 2024.
The BSP traced the monthly increase to higher US investment in the manufacturing sector.
