Motorcycle taxi providers Angkas, Joyride and Move-it have filled up the rider caps imposed in Metro Manila and in Metro Cebu, according to the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).

Based on the official data collated by the motorcycle taxi pilot run technical working group (TWG) as of Feb. 18, 2020, riders in Metro Manila stood at 45,000 with 51 percent of the allocation going to Angkas at 23,164 riders. Joyride had 15,000 and Move It had 6,836.

In Metro Cebu, total riders stood at 8,988 of which Angkas had 4,500 and Joyride, 4,488 riders.

In Cagayan De Oro, riders stood 1,123 of which Angkas had 925 and  Joyride, 198.
No riders tapped Move It in Cebu and Cagayan de Oro.

The allocations were redistributed on a first come, first served basis starting last week after the three transportation network companies were initially unable to fill the caps.

The pilot study on the motorcycle taxi will be finished by March 23 with the possibility of a further extension.
