MOHS is now poised to diversify its diagnostic product portfolio.
MOHS is spearheading the development of novel self-test kits and technologies geared towards early disease detection through diagnostic testing, outside laboratories.
MOHS is one of the pioneers in the Philippines to introduce new coronavirus disease 2019 self-test kits. Its products reached over 3,000 retail outlets, solidifying its position as a market leader.
“Our thrust is to complement and support the achievement of the Philippine national objective of universal health care,” said Michael Hortaleza, MOHS chief executive officer.
Aside from the development and launch of a wider range of self-test kits, MOHS is introducing new online technologies to make it more convenient for Filipinos to access basic health care services like registration and consultation.
MOHS said it has tapped PrimeSource Corp., a solutions provider with national reach, to partner with the public sector in introducing appropriate healthcare technologies to bring quality and affordable healthcare closer to all Filipinos.
MOHS’ initiatives are meant to address issues like vaccine and consultation hesitancy, and backlogs in treatment and care.
This comes after reports of pertussis outbreaks in some localities which have been directly linked to non-vaccination of children during the pandemic.
Founded in 2018 as MOHS Analytics, MOHS has grown to be the country’s biggest education provider of data analytics and AI for learning institutions. Alongside Analytics is MOHS Academy which assists in gearing students with crucial skill sets in information technology.
