Mitsubishi Motor Philippines Corp. (MMPC) expects to grow at 8 to 10 percent in sales this year at pace with the industry to get 16 percent market share for he year, Mutsuhiro Oshikiri, MMPC president, on Friday led the launch of the new Mitsubishi Monteto Sport whose sales he targets to grow by 10 to 15 percent from the prevous model at 15,000 units for 2020.
Oshikiri banks on the good price point of the new Montero Sport in the medium sport utility vehicle segment.
He said MMPC did not increase the price of the new model despite its added features, The model is in the P1.2 million- to P2-million price range.
According to Oshikiri, the Montero hopes to account for 20 to 25 percent of total MMPC sales which will grow to 65,000 units from a year ago.
The new model is designed with a more robust powerful appearance providing the vehicle a tougher look while complemented with a refreshed interior that delivers a luxurious and comfortable feel. The new Mitsubishi Montero Sport is equipped with advance features both for convenience and safety.
