President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. said during his “BBM Podcast” aired Sunday his “Sumbong sa Pangulo” website has received more than 12,000 public complaints, expanding from its initial focus on flood control to include poorly constructed roads and highways.

Launched on August 11, the online platform allows citizens to report corruption and irregularities in government projects directly to the Presidential Palace.

President Marcos called the site “very effective” and confirmed that his inspections of flood-control projects in areas such as Bulacan have already verified reports of “ghost,” or non-existent, and substandard work.

“The people now have a line of communication to me to complain, and they are really using it,” Marcos said, urging the public to continue submitting such reports.

The surge in complaints comes as the administration forms an independent commission to investigate infrastructure spending anomalies.  Marlon Magtira
