Lyceum of the Philippines University-Davao (LPU-Davao) last week signed a memorandum of agreement with AboitizPower affiliate, AboitizPower Distributed Renewables Inc. (APX) for a 300 kilowatt-peak rooftop solar project.
Peter Laurel, president of LPU Davao, Batangas and Laguna campuses, said this is part of the organization’s efforts to remain sustainable.
APX will install, operate and maintain the facility in the campus.
“This marks our first foray into the education space for APX and we hope that it is just the beginning. We see great potential for distributed renewable energy in the Philippines. We look forward to helping more businesses reduce their energy cost and carbon footprint,” said Carlos Aboitiz, APX director.
