Ramcar Group is opening KFC to franchising for the first time since the American chicken restaurant chain set up shop in the country in 1966.
The Group, which had the franchise from the US since 1994 under KFC Philippines, will handle the full operations of the franchised stores.
KFC in a statement said officials from KFC Philippines and KFC Asia last November signed the franchise agreement. No details were given KFC currently has 300 stores in the Philippines.
KFC said the franchise opportunities will follow globally set operational standards.
It added it will provide support from business development to marketing and operations.
Unit franchisees will be equipped with tools that will maximize their stores’ potential, from selecting the optimal site, promoting the store, to managing daily operations.
The franchise investment cost will vary depending on the location and preferred store type.
