The Philippine unemployment rate inched up to 4.1 percent in April 2025, with 2.06 million jobless individuals recorded, from 4 percent in April 2024, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) reported today, Friday.
The PSA report did not provide a comparative month-earlier figure. However, based on the previous month’s report as published, the preliminary unemployment rate in March 2025 was 3.9 percent.
The country’s employment rate, on the other hand, stood at 95.9 percent in April this year, with 48.67 million Filipinos having jobs during the period, the PSA said.
