Factory prices of locally-manufactured goods eased 0.3 percent in July as measured by the Producers Price Index (PPI), data from the Philippine Statistics Authority’s (PSA) Monthly Integrated Survey of Selected Industries (MISSI) showed on Tuesday.
The PPI in July marks the third straight month of decline since May’s 0.38 percent drop.
The July contraction was similar to the 0.3 percent drop recorded from a year earlier.
The seven-month PPI, however, registered a 0.3 percent expansion.
