Filipino brand Wonderhome Naturals co-founded by brothers Bryan and Marvin Chua has developed a complete, sustainable home care and personal care products that use plant-based ingredients to keep homes and health safe from life-threatening germs and chemicals.
A recent virtual roundtable “Make Green the New Clean” marked the debut of Wonderhome Naturals lines of home care (laundry, kitchen, surface and bathroom), personal care (hand wash, hand sanitizer, linen spray), and lifestyle (organic cleaners for yoga mat, gadget and desk, and pre-poo spray)– which are formulated with plant-based probiotics that clean without damaging health or the environment.
Wonderhome products are certified by Intertek to kill 99.9 percent of household germs and are lab-tested to eliminate viruses and prevent recontamination for up to 72 hours.
Wonderhome Naturals are packaged in bottles made from a combination of upcycled ocean plastic and biodegradable wheat. The low carbon footprint modular packaging means they fit snugly in shipping boxes to eliminate the use of plastic fillers. These bottles can be brought back for recycling or refilling.
PhilHealth partners with MyEG PH
The Philippine Health Insurance Corp.(PhilHealth) has officially launched its online payment service, which gives voluntary members a hassle-free, safe, and easier option to pay their contributions including mobile wallets, credit cards, online banking, and more.
All that members need to do is to login at https://www.philhealth.gov.ph, access the payment summary page, and choose their preferred payment option.
Technology partner MyEG Philippines Inc. said its payment system has additional layer of protection to ensure all transactions are secured.
MyEG has been providing eGovernment services in both Malaysia and the Philippines for the last 18 years through its technology platform encompassing internet, automation, big data and electronic payments, whose clients include the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), Landbank of the Philippines, CIMB, and local government units such Ilagan City, and Baler, Aurora.
LCC, Globe present lab on Resilient Public Health Systems
The Liveable Cities Challenge (LCC), in partnership with the League of Cities of the Philippines and Globe Telecom, is hosting another timely discussion on how cities are addressing the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on their health care systems and society in general.
For its third lab in 2021, LCC and Globe will present the LCC Labs: Resilient Public Health Systems on June 2, Wednesday, 3-5pm.
The webinar will feature Dr. Manuel Dayrit, former Secretary of the Department of Health, Undersecretary Leopoldo Vega of the Department of Health, and Mayor Vico Sotto of Pasig City. Representatives from AC Health and Health Now will also join the discussion.
Dayrit will discuss Strengthening the Public Health System in Cities while Vega will present the One Hospital Command System. Sotto, on the other hand, will share the city’s experience and learnings in responding to the challenges and impact of the pandemic.
Their insights are expected to provide important information and solutions that could help cities enhance their public health systems, which is critical in addressing the continuing challenges brought about by COVID-19.

BPI-Philam free insurance registration extended
Bancassurance leader BPI-Philam and its partner Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) have extended the registration for the free COVID-19 life insurance coverage for their clients until the end of June.The coverage is effective for 90 days.
BPI-Philam has allotted P200,000 in life insurance each to one million clients, equivalent to P 200 billion. Any qualified BPI accountholder or BPI-Philam policy owner can sign up for the free insurance. For the latter, this is an additional benefit on top of their existing plan’s benefits.
Overseas Filipinos may also register, as long as they meet the requirements.
BPI-Philam’s free life insurance is for BPI clients aged 18 to 64 who are not a probable/suspect/confirmed COVID-19 patient at the time of application.
