The Philippine health information management services industry generated almost $86 million (about P4.7 billion) in sales at the HIMSS Global Conference & Exhibition 2023 and trade and investment roadshow in the US.
Initial sales amount to $ 72.9 million, inclusive of closed deals, contracts under negotiation and potential sales plus additional potential direct investment amounting to $13 million, during the trade and investment roadshow in Texas and New York and HIMSS exhibition held last month at the McCormick Convention Center, Chicago, Illinois.
The Philippine National Pavilion participated in by 18 companies showcased the country’s capabilities in information technology and HIMS services, such as pharma, research and life sciences; health IT; provider and payor centric processes and; voice and non-voice support.
“The HIMS sector continues to embrace automation and digital transformation with a strong focus on innovation. Adopting new technologies like AI, the sector has been shifting to higher value services and improving customer experience,” said trade Undersecretary for Competitiveness Innovation Group, Rafaelita Aldaba said at a business forum. – Irma Isip
