Vacc to Normal

Grab Philippines has announced its Vacc To Normal campaign to encourage more driver- and delivery-partners to get vaccinated and support the ongoing national vaccination efforts against COVID-19.

This campaign ladders up to Grab Philippines’ broader GrabBayanihan Vaccination Support Program.

Through the Vacc To Normal campaign, Grab Philippines will roll out several initiatives including: Vacc2Vacc Raffle – To foster community support in driving vaccination efforts within driver- and delivery-partners, Grab Philippines will be raffling off exciting prizes to members of the driver communities every time the number of vaccinated driver- and delivery-partners reaches certain milestones; and Rewards – Grab Philippines will also give out exclusive rewards to the first 4,000 driver-partners and the first 4,000 delivery-partners to get vaccinated.

Grab will also provide insurance coverage to all Grab driver- and delivery-partners, in case of adverse side effects from vaccination. The GrabProtect COVID Assistance will support driver- and delivery-partners on COVID-related expenses.

AllDay Supermarket’s Personal Shopper Service nets
Euromonitor int’l credit

AllDay Supermarket’s Personal Shopper Service–introduced to provide a safer and more convenient way to shop for essentials during the pandemic–was a key digital transformation for AllDay, earning credit from Euromonitor International in its February 2021 “Supermarkets in the Philippines — Analysis” report as a market leader in providing dedicated shopper programs in the face of the global pandemic.

Launched on April 16, 2020, AllDay’s Personal Shopper Service employs Viber messaging to forward customers’ grocery lists to personal shoppers, with orders being served within 24 hours.

Also unveiled were a number of key digital transformations, including its own PWA-based e-commerce platform www.allday.com.ph.

Converge powers up vaccination sites

Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has provided a dedicated fiber connection to facilitate the vaccination program of the city government at the City College of Angeles and the Angeles National High School.

The connectivity is being used by the government’s health workers for pre-registration, registration, and tagging of people for vaccination.

To fast-track the vaccination drive of the A1-A4 priority groups, the connectivity is used to access information such as vacancy of slots in the vaccination sites.

The city government is planning to put up a third vaccination site in Barangay Sapalibutad in Angeles which has a capacity of 1,000 individuals, while the existing vaccination sites have a capacity of 6,000 each.

The SM Store deploys Aptos

MAPFRE new products

MAPFRE has made recent strides to ensure they provide products and services that cater to the current needs of Filipinos, particularly during the pandemic.

Last March, MAPFRE partnered with the Philippine Red Cross (PRC) to extend non-life insurance products to the PRC Prestige Members including Accidental Death and Disablement Cover, Unprovoked Murder and Assault Cover, Term Life Coverage, and Fire Cash Assistance. These benefits cover emergencies (including COVID-19 related), illnesses, disasters, and even death subject to insurance cover terms and conditions.

Efforts to go digital have also benefited MAPFRE’s insurance process and claims procedure to become faster and more efficient. With the MAPFRE Insurance Virtual Office, a web portal, MAPFRE’s agents are able to take a more proactive role in client interactions with a network that allows them to distribute and independently issue policies, access account for renewal, instantly draft quotations, and process payments and claims using QR codes.

Cebu Pacific kicks off employee vaccination

Cebu Pacific last week rolled out its vaccination program which will inoculate employees and their dependents, and third-party workers for free.

This is part of the Gokongwei Group’s COVID Protect Program which kicked off on July 6 with the vaccination of frontliners from Robinsons Retail.

The conglomerate-procured vaccines were administered to Cebu Pacific’s first batch of 300 employees at the airline’s headquarters in Pasay City. CEB expects to complete administration of first dose this August and fully vaccinate all employees and third party workers by October this year.

To date, 51 percent of CEB’s total workforce have been inoculated; while 58 percent of its flying pilots and crew have received their vaccine doses.

PayMaya named as BSP’s outstanding partner

The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas recognized PayMaya as an Outstanding Partner at the recently held 2021 Outstanding BSP Stakeholders’ Appreciation Ceremony, themed “Pagpupugay at Pagkilala…sa Gitna ng Hamon ng Pandemya.”

Saludo Sa Serbisyo

The Armed Forces of the Philippines and Ayala Group of Companies signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to strengthen a long-standing partnership and bolster support to soldiers through the Saludo Sa Serbisyo program on Thursday, July 29.

AFP Chief of Staff Gen. Cirilito Sobejana signed the MOU on behalf of the AFP, while Ayala Corp. president and chief executive officer Fernando Zobel de Ayala represented the Ayala Group.

Saludo Sa Serbisyo, which according to Sobejana will be in full swing until 2026, is a needs-based program that gives uniformed personnel expanded access to the group’s products and services, enabling them to pick the best support they need in every key milestone of their lives.

The program provides options on housing and vehicles, and hosts a venue for financial education and livelihood training as well as health and wellness caravans. It also hopes to provide employment opportunities in various business units across the Ayala Group to AFP retirees and their qualified dependents.

The ribbon cutting formally opened the AFP-Ayala Corp. Caravan at the GHQ Canopy.

The caravan featured Housing Assistance from Ayala Land and Health and Wellness Caravan courtesy of AC Health — Healthway, Generika, and MDC Medical Team. Several financial and investment opportunities were also offered by BPI, while AC Motors offered preferred rates on vehicles under the company’s umbrella of brands: Honda, Kia, Isuzu, Volkswagen, Maxus, and KTM.

Globe’s ESG efforts recognized
