Grab Philippines has noted a 57 percent increase in online revenues for its merchants the past three months as the lockdown boosted demand for delivery.

It said its advertising feature on the platform assures up to 300 percent return on investment in ad spend.

Grab Philippines said it also added 12,000 merchants between March and June as part of its Grab Bayanihan project, a collaboration among its customers, riders, merchants and partners to help the country cope with the disruptions of the new coronavirus disease pandemic.

The company said the project protected and supported 3.6 million Filipinos in terms of jobs and business.

An internal survey conducted by Grab showed 76 percent of its merchant-partners want more support to increase their online presence while 56 percent want tools to help them innovate their businesses.

With a promised high ROI on ad spend, Grab is set to give 6,000 local businesses five weeks of free ads on the platform.
