Mobile interconnection between Globe Telecom Inc. and DITO Telecommunity Corp. is expected to start by next month, allowing their subscribers to make calls and send text messages without additional charges.
In a statement, Globe said it has signed an interconnection deal with DITO which covers domestic mobile calls and text messaging.
Upon DITO’s commercial launch next month, Globe customers can place mobile calls and send texts to the other network without added charges.
Globe is also finalizing an interconnection deal with DITO on the fixed landline space.
In a related development, GCash insurance marketplace service GInsure has increased its total insurance coverage to P8.3 billion as of late 2020.
GInsure currently features insurance products from AXA (through MicroEnsure) and Singlife.
