The German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) led a business mission for the possible exploration of bioenergy opportunities in the country.
In a statement, GPCCI said the business mission was held yesterday in cooperation with the Philippine Energy Efficiency Alliance with over 80 participants, where German and Philippine industry experts as well as government stakeholders shared project opportunities and best practices.
“Renewable energy is always an excellent area for cooperation between German and Philippine companies… We believe that the time is right, we are excited to foster business and technology partnerships and set the stage for collaboration in the field of bioenergy. We are proud to have arranged around 50 b2b (business to business) meetings for this mission,” said Christopher Zimmer, GPCCI executive director, in a statement.
Five German companies participated in the business mission, including AHT Syngas Technology N.V. which develops decentralized biomass power plants that transform waste residues into clean energy resources, and atmosfair GmbH which promotes global carbon dioxide mitigation in 20 countries, GPCCI added.
Other companies present include Uniglobe Environmental Technology, a consultancy firm focused on providing German environmental, recycling and energy solutions; Wangen Pumps GmbH, a provider of displacement pumps for industrial applications like biogas, anaerobic digestion, food, pharmaceuticals and wastewater; and Weber Entec GmbH, a provider of systems engineering in environmental applications, especially ultrasonic disintegration of biogenic materials.
