Local bathroom solutions provider, Hocheng Philippines Corp. (HCG), renewed its contract for the supply of renewable energy from First Gen Corp.

First Gen said the partnership will enable HCG achieve its decarbonization goals with its 850-kilowatt power demand.

“Aside from the use of renewable energy, we have several initiatives that contribute to the company’s green and decarbonization objectives. For instance, we have innovations that offer water-saving products to green buildings, from 6 liters to 4 liters per flush product.

This doesn’t only help the environment on water wastages but also results in additional savings for our customers,” said Eugene Lin, HCG officer-in-charge and senior vice president, in a statement.

Under the new contract, First Gen’s 100 percent renewable energy arm and leading geothermal provider, Energy Development Corp. (EDC) will supply HCG’s facility with 24×7 geothermal energy.

Lin added that apart from contracting geothermal energy supply from First Gen, HCG is also exploring solar rooftop projects to further improve its low-carbon footprint efforts.
