First Gen Corp. subsidiary FGEN LNG Corp. has issued to its engineering, procurement and construction contractor McConnell Dowell a notice to proceed with the construction of its liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal in Batangas by March.
“The project has moved past the planning stage and it’s now moving ahead,” said Jonathan Russell, First Gen executive vice president and chief commercial officer.
In a webinar hosted by the Philippine Energy Independence Council and the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Russell said the tender process for the provider of the floating storage regasification unit (FSRU) for the project is still ongoing.
