FAMILYMART has launched two rolling stores and is also set to offer a delivery service to make its products more accessible amid the ongoing enhanced community quarantine (ECQ).
In a disclosure to the Philippine Stock Exchange, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines Inc. said its convenience store retailing business through the project called Fam on Wheels aims to bring basic essentials and a selection of FamilyMart products to different neighborhoods in Metro Manila from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Under the program, rolling stores that offer contactless transaction and payment options will be stationed in Phoenix gas stations
Phoenix Petroleum has also enabled delivery through Facebook Messenger. Initially, six FamilyMart stores will start offering delivery service through GrabFood and Lalamove Food to accommodate orders of bento meals, chicken liempo, crispy pata and ramen.
“While many of our stores remain open to be of service, we want to bring FamilyMart closer to where we are needed. Our Fam on Wheels and delivery service are a way for us to provide alternative convenience during this ECQ, while also ensuring the safety of our customers and personnel. FamilyMart will continue to innovate and adapt its services depending on the needs of the community,” said Henry Albert Fadullon, FamilyMart president and Phoenix Petroleum chief operating officer.
FamilyMart is a Japanese convenience store brand managed by Phoenix Petroleum in the Philippines. Last year, the brand opened the biggest stand-alone FamilyMart store in the world at Udenna Tower BGC in Taguig City.
