RENEWABLE energy developer Alternergy Holdings Corp. has tapped former Punongbayan & Araullo Grant Thornton chairman Maria Victoria Españo as an adviser to the board.

“Marivic Españo has a solid track record on taxation and audit, with her stellar career at P&A Grant Thornton since 1997, including 12 years as chairperson until her retirement in June 2023. We value her advice on best practices in corporate governance, as part of our aspiration to be an exemplary listed company on the Philippine Stock Exchange,” said Vince Pérez, Alternergy chairman and a former energy secretary, in a disclosure yesterday.

“We look forward to working closely with Marivic Españo and learning from her experience. We believe her background would be an excellent complement to the expertise of Alternergy’s non-executive board in banking, government, law, and sustainable finance,” he added.
