Emperador Inc. is optimistic about its prospects overseas as it continuously increase its production and volume for brandy and whisky around the world.
Glenn Manlapaz, Emperador International chief executive officer, said the brand’s brandy grew 376 percent in the United Kingdom, 44 percent in Mexico, 74 percent in Canada, and 24 percent in the United States.
In Africa, Tres Cepas Brandy, which is under Emperador’s subsidiary in Spain, has expanded their market shares in Guinea and Cameroon.
Whyte and Mackay UK, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Emperador, has climbed up to be the second largest selling blended scotch brand in entire United Kingdom while Emperadr’s single malt brand, Jura, is currently the number one single malt in the UK in sales volume in groceries and supermarkets.
It is also currently the fastest growing single malt brand in Sweden and The Netherlands.
In China alone, Whyte and Mackay’s whisky business also grew by around 200 percent.
