Eastern Telecoms allots P2.8B for expansion

Eastern Communications has allocated P2.8 billion capital expenditure this year to finance its ongoing network buildup.

“Eastern Communications has transformed in terms of the services we’re now offering to our customers and we have also expanded our footprint in other key areas in the Philippines. Our goal this year is to go nationwide,” said Aileen Regio, Eastern co-coordinator.

The company said it would focus not only on providing fast and reliable internet connections but on managed service-based products that complement its portfolio of telecommunications and information and communication technology solutions to help clients harness the full potential of digital transformation through achieving agile, secure, and flexible workplace.

The telecommunications company targets to expand its present in Davao, Cagayan De Oro, Iloilo, Bacolod, Tarlac, Cagayan Valley and La Union while targeting Cebu, Batangas, Laguna, Rizal, Cavite, Cebu and Bulacan for its network expansion and modernization program.

In 2019, Eastern reported revenues of P3.3 billion, up 22 percent from 2018 attributed to its network coverage expansion, increased sales in the small and medium-sized enterprises market, and new products.
