A consumer group has asked the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) to look into alleged complaints on sales practices of a supermarket chain.

In a letter to the DTI Fair Trade and Enforcement Bureau dated May 16, 2024, Malayang Konsyumer (MK) which claims to be a multi-sectoral consumer policy protection grassroots organization said it has been receiving numerous complaints regarding the alleged negligent practices of Dali Everyday Grocery.

These include alleged erroneous pricing and weighing of chicken, erroneous inclusion of an item that was not willfully purchased, among others.

The group said it culled the complaints from its research and from social media posts, some dating back to 2021.
