GCash reaps accolades 

GCash  shines as an Employer of Choice at the prestigious HR Asia, HR Excellence, and Stevie Awards, taking home accolades in multiple categories.

GCash celebrates its second consecutive win as one of HR Asia’s Best Companies to Work For, an honor given to top employers in the region based on metrics such as employee engagement and workplace culture.

Security Bank joins forces with PhilBritish

 Security Bank announced a new partnership with leading non-life insurance provider, PhilBritish Insurance, to help businesses manage risks such as fire, flood, robbery, theft or food poisoning. Cavite OPG-OPPDAO gets support from PLDT, Smart

 PLDT Inc.  and Smart Communications Inc.  in partnership with Adaptive Technology for Rehabilitation, Integration, and Empowerment of the Visually Impaired (ATRIEV), recently supported the Festival of Talents and Disability Knowledge Bowl Tournament Quiz Bee, hosted by the Office of the Provincial Governor – Office of the Provincial Persons with Disability Affairs Officer (OPG-OPPDAO) of the province of Cavite.

Representatives from the different offices under the Vice Governor, and Board Member from the First District (Chairperson on Social Welfare, Family, Women, Children, and Elderly) also attended the event at SM City Dasmariñas.

OPG-OPPDAO is a team under the Office of the Provincial Governor of Cavite mandated to develop and implement disability programs, services, and policies to support and put forward the rights of people with disabilities. 

“The support of different organizations is important because it takes a whole-of-nation approach to address the needs of people with disabilities and to promote inclusion. PLDT and Smart’s assistance really added to our resources, helping us highlight the talents of people with disabilities,” said Marie Shiela Haloc, Disability Affairs Officer IV at OPG-OPPDAO. 

Puregold Pusong Panalo

Puregold Price Club through its social responsibility initiative, Pusong Panalo extended support to Laiban Elementary School in Tanay, Rizal. 

Puregold installed solar panels in the school, ensuring a sustainable and reliable energy source. The initiative also included the construction of a new playground and replenishment of the canteen.

 The retailer donated new laptops to the school’s teachers, addressing the growing need for technological tools in education. Both students and teachers also received grocery packs for their families. 

As part of its long-term vision, Puregold pledges to extend its support to 30 schools in remote areas by 2028. Puregold plans to help four more schools in 2024. 

 SYP Month 2024 

The Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management (Global Alliance) is set to launch its annual Student and Young Practitioners (SYP) Month with the theme Responsible Communication. The #NextInLine initiative serves as a foundational element of this year’s SYP Month, aiming to empower students and young practitioners to uphold and advance the standards of responsible and ethical communication.

The event will showcase a variety of activities across six global regions. During the first week of October, the #NextInLine Rocket Forum will feature a series of forums, discussions and conferences aimed at developing actionable strategies for responsible communication. A global manifesto signing will take place, signifying the participants’ commitment to becoming ethical and responsible young communication professionals.

Meanwhile, the #NextInLine Hero Web Conference will unite young speakers from around the globe, ranging from recent graduates to industry leaders, to engage in impactful discussions. This virtual roundtable, scheduled on October 29, will delve into the future of responsible communication through interactive sessions and shared insights
