Collaboration on cancer care

Healthway Cancer Care Hospital (HCCH), the country’s first dedicated cancer care facility, and the Philippine Alliance of Patient Organizations (PAPO) have joined forces to advance initiatives aimed at promoting universal access to healthcare and allied services. 

Their collaborative efforts will prioritize and elevate patient care and health outcomes, specifically focusing on those with cancer.

The HCCH and PAPO partnership will focus on four key areas: Comprehensive Cancer Care Services, Hospice and Palliative Care, Patient Advocacy Groups, and Health Literacy and Patient Safety.

The partnership likewise entails collaboration on initiatives for the care and treatment of multiple myeloma, lung, and liver cancers, as these are priority areas for PAPO in supporting and finding funding for patients in need. 

HCCH and PAPO have also committed to work together in promoting interdisciplinary approaches to hospice and palliative care, incorporating best practices, and ensuring access to these services for all eligible patients.

Leaders from HCCH and PAPO signed the memorandum of agreement (MOA) on April 22, 2024 at HCCH in Arca South, Taguig City.

Nestlé soars on TikTok Shop

Nestlé, a global leader in the food and beverage industry, exemplifies the success achievable through TikTok Shop’s innovative framework. During the 4.4 Summer Saya Campaign, Nestlé experienced a significant surge, emerging as the top brand in the Food and Beverage category with a 50 percent uplift in orders. 

According to Nestlé, this growth is attributed to the brand’s strategic implementation of TikTok Shop’s ACE (Assortment, Content, and Empowerment) indicator system.

BPI to hold BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race

The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) is set to host on June 9 the highly anticipated BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2024.

The BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2024, in partnership with race organizer RunRio, is a more inclusive expansion of last year’s #BestLifeRun. 

It aims to promote the value of creating a culture of health and wellness in the workplace and to provide the business community with an exciting and healthy bonding activity for employees.

The event is among the initiatives of BPI Well, the company’s wellness program, and is one of the first sustainability initiatives of BPI as it kicks off the third year of its annual Sustainability Awareness Month.

The BPI #BestLifeRun Corporate Race 2024 is created to be a friendly race for runners of all levels. It will have two open categories: the 5km and 10km. 

Scheduled to unfold in Makati City, the event will kick off from the Ayala Triangle Gardens, winding through the business district. It expects to draw 4,000 participants, consisting of a mix of employees from various companies and non-profit organizations.

foodpanda partners with Jia

Online food and grocery delivery platform foodpanda recently launched a collaboration with Jia Financing Inc. to give its partner merchants additional capital boost. 

The collaboration is part of foodpanda’s umbrella program “Negosyo Like a Panda” which offers business loans to partner merchants to help them stock more inventories and match the increasing demand for their products. 

“Both foodpanda and Jia worked on crafting the loan offering to make sure that the application process is easy, repayment is hassle-free, and more importantly, the interest rate is affordable and designed to really help the business owners,” said Lhecks De Castro, foodpanda Philippines director of finance. 

Last year, foodpanda launched The Negosyo Like a Panda Loans Caravan to offer financing options to its micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) partner vendors by partnering with local banks and financial institutions.

Aboitiz Group continues Great Transformation

Over 500 Aboitiz leaders gathered for the conference at Solaire Grand Ballroom, where the Group not only unveiled its growth strategies, but also presented its cutting edge innovations including its first pair of AI-powered virtual team members. 

With the LeadCon’s theme ‘Unlocking Techglomerate Potential’, the Group took stock of the steps that have been taken in recent years in order to transform itself into the Philippines’ first techglomerate. As the Group experienced massive growth in recent years, it is poised to form a sustainable business ecosystem among its many diverse companies that will become the core of its strategy in the coming years.

Procter & Gamble launches vGROW

Procter & Gamble (P&G) Philippines launched the vGROW ShowQase initiative in collaboration with QBO Innovation Hub. 

The vGROW ShowQase provides promising startups and businesses with the opportunity to pitch innovative solutions to P&G Philippines’ leaders, opening doors for potential business partnerships.

P&G Philippines is currently accepting applications from startups that can provide solutions to six specific problem statements in key areas such as human resources, logistics, merchandising, branding, consumer marketing, and value-added services. Interested startups should focus on presenting their solutions to address these specific challenges: Employee benefits, retail operation, transport and logistics, online-to-offline trial, supply chain promotions and brand..

Applicants for this program can include startups, companies, and enterprises that have already passed the minimum viable product stage.

Selected startups will have the opportunity to establish partnerships and engagements with P&G Philippines.

Applications are ongoing and will close on May 31. Shortlisted startups will pitch during P&G Philippines’ vGROW ShowQase event on June 27.
