BPI head office wins Platinum Award at MUSE
The new head office of the Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI), designed by Aedas Interiors Singapore, won the Platinum award in the Interior Design—Office category at the 2024 MUSE Design Awards hosted by the International Awards Associate (IAA).
The MUSE Design Awards is an international design competition dedicated to recognizing excellent and original design work from across the globe. MUSE also serves as a key stage to unveil up-and-coming stars in Architecture, Interior, Product, Landscape, Lighting, Furniture and Fashion Design worldwide.
Located at the Ayala Triangle Gardens Tower 2 in Makati City, the new BPI head office provides a safe working environment that promotes productivity, innovation, and employee well-being.
“BPI and Aedas Singapore worked together to create an office space that enhances collaboration, stimulates creativity, and attracts and retains top talents in the country. The new office reflects the Bank’s commitment to supporting employee satisfaction and engagement,” said TG Limcaco, BPI president and CEO.
DigiPlus wins accolades at 3G Awards
DigiPlus Interactive Corp. (DigiPlus) won two accolades from the recently held 9th Global Good Governance (3G) Awards held in Taguig City.
Cambridge International Finance Advisory (Cambridge IFA), a global financial services intelligence house, recognized DigiPlus’ commitment to make a positive impact on society with two 3G awards.
DigiPlus was awarded with the 3G Best Social Responsibility Campaign Award 2024 for its initiatives under its social development arm, BingoPlus Foundation. BingoPlus Foundation’s key pillars include initiatives on technology education scholarship grants, accessible healthcare, community safety and resiliency, and responsible digitalization.
DigiPlus was also awarded 3G Excellence in ESG Award 2024 for its commitment to its Sustainability Framework that captures key material themes in which it aims to make a change: Environmental Responsibility, Employees & Workplace, Responsible Gaming, Digital & Data Security, and Good Governance.
The 3G Awards is an annual awards program that celebrates good governance, transparency, and social responsibility and is attended by individuals and institutions from government and politics, corporate sector, and social sector and philanthropy.
Decathlon goes solar
Global sports retail brand Decathlon launched its new Solar Panels Sustainability Project at Decathlon Masinag.
As part of the brand’s commitment to sustainability, a solar panel rooftop was built and installed on Decathlon Masinag.

This was done in partnership between DecathlonPhilippines Inc. and Skye Renewables Philippines Inc., whereboth parties entered into a Green Energy Option Program(GEOP) Supply Contract.
The solar panel rooftop consists of a 225.06 kWp system, which is expected to generate >2.7GWh of renewable power over a 10-year contract period. Approximately 30 percent of the store’s yearly energy consumption will be covered by the onsite renewable energy source, making it an effective means of guaranteeing access to a low-carbon, renewable energy source.
Samsung’s Sound Tower brings the WOW factor to Dagupan
Global #1 TV and soundbar brand Samsung fired up the festive spirit at this year’s Bangus Festival in Dagupan with their best-selling Sound Tower, blasting out tunes and turning the event into a full-blown celebration.
At the festival, Samsung promoted the lively karaoke culture of Filipinos by encouraging locals and tourists to sing their hearts out at their booth, which featured the Samsung Sound Tower and its supersized Samsung 98″ QLED Q80C 4K Smart TV.
To add extra joy to the festivities, Samsung gave away MX-T40 Sound Towers to two lucky Dagupeños to enjoy their favorite songs in the comfort of their homes.
TFP receives grant
Teach for the Philippines announced a $250,000 grant from Visa Foundation to support its nationwide student and leadership development programs.
Visa Foundation will enable Teach for the Philippines (TFP) to help public school students and communities recover from learning loss exacerbated by the pandemic.
The grant will support student development programs that significantly improve the reading, numeracy, and life skills of early graders, and leadership development programs that deploy transformative teachers and changemakers in schools as well as education governance agencies. Through this partnership, TFP aims to improve learning and life outcomes for Filipino children and communities nationwide.
The grant is a part of the Visa Foundation Gives program, an ongoing initiative launched in 2022 dedicated to addressing local social issues in the communities where Visa employees live and work. The initiative will also enable Visa employees to volunteer with Teach for the Philippines to further advance its mission and amplify their impact in the community.
EVAP honored with GEAN award

The Electric Vehicle Association of the Philippines (EVAP) has been recognized with the prestigious GEAN Award by the Global Electric Vehicle Association Network (GEAN) for its outstanding contributions to the advancement of the electric vehicle (EV) industry in Asean.
The award ceremony took place at the 11th EMobility Expo in Jeju, Korea recently.
EVAP has played a pivotal role in driving the growth of the electric vehicle sector within the Asean region and has been instrumental in spearheading the formation of the Asean Federation of Electric Vehicle Associations.
This recognition from GEAN underscores EVAP’s commitment to promoting sustainable transportation solutions and fostering innovation in the automotive industry.
