SB Finance’s eSALAD wins Best Loan Offering
SB Finance won the Best Loan Offering award for its pioneering employee salary loan product, eSALAD, at the 15th Retail Banker International Asia Trailblazer Awards, held inMarina Bay Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Singapore on March 14.
eSALAD was lauded for its customer-centric design and its substantial impact on the financial lives of its users. The award was announced at a ceremony in Singapore, highlighting the product’s contribution to financial inclusion in the Philippines.
The RBI Asia Trailblazer Awards is a collaborative initiative with GlobalData and MEED. It highlights the achievements of retail banking institutions and individuals who have shown exceptional commitment to pioneering services and dedication to customer excellence.
SB Finance is among the only four financial brands from the Philippines honored at the Trailblazer Awards this year.
Sun Life Global Solutions Ph gets GPTW certified
Sun Life Global Solutions (SLGS) Philippines is once again certified as a Great Place to Work (GPTW) organization.
This is the fourth consecutive year that the organization has received the certification and its first GPTW certification since it repositioned itself as Sun Life Global Solutions.
The survey results draw on the employees’ responses to an independently conducted survey by the Great Place to Work, the global authority on workplace culture.
The outcome of the survey shows that 93 percent people feel that they are fairly treated regardless of their sexual orientation, 92 percent experienced fair treatment regardless of race or gender, 91 percent affirm that the workplace is physically safe, and 90 percent shared a sense of pride on being a Sun Lifer and would like to tell others about the same.

Business as ‘force for good’
PHINMA Corp. and the De La Salle University (DLSU) have launched a pioneering research center aiming to harness the transformative power of businesses to address social challenges and create lasting impact.
The PHINMA-DLSU Center for Business and Society (PDCBS) was formally launched on March 8 at The Fifth at Rockwell Events Hall in Makati City.
With an initial seed fund of P50 million, PDCBS aims to foster academic research and development towards business strategies and approaches that encourage humanistic business outcomes.
The center will use its research and resources to devise curricula which can be implemented in leading business schools throughout the country; develop training programs and conferences for businesses to educate them on their role in effectively addressing societal needs effectively; and collaborate with experts and organizations in furthering the goal to transform business as a tool for society’s betterment.
PHINMA and DLSU envision PDCBS will become the country’s leading research-based advocate and management development provider for business as a force for good in the next few years. Both institutions also hope the center will influence businesses nationwide to adopt this advocacy and support national action plans towards practices that will bring about positive social impact.
Smart, MOONTON Games renew partnership
For the seventh consecutive year, PLDT mobile services arm Smart Communications Inc. and international gaming developer and publisher MOONTON Games have announced their strategic partnership for the much-anticipated Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League (MPL) Philippines tournaments this 2024.

Honda Cars Ph breaks ground for new dealerships
Honda Cars Philippines Inc. (HCPI) announced the construction of two new dealerships, namely, Honda Cars Paranaque and Honda Cars Tacloban. Their groundbreaking ceremonies were held last March 6 and March 8, respectively.
These new dealerships will expand HCPI’s current network of 37 Honda cars dealerships nationwide.
The new Honda Dealerships will sport a new visual identity with a refreshed look and new dealership signage design to embody Honda’s global standard in the delivery of products and services, aligned with Honda Motor Co., Ltd. They will also be fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities for general repairs, spare parts, light compact body and paint, and preventive maintenance.
Inauguration of Honda Cars Paranaque is set in September 2025, and Honda Cars Tacloban in July 2025.
