BDO Unibank Inc. (BDO) won multiple awards at the Corporate Governance 14th Asian Excellence Award 2024 in Hong Kong.
BDO’s sustainability initiatives earned the Sustainable Asia Award and Asia’s Best CSR.
BDO was also recognized as the Best Investor Relations company in the Philippines.
The recognition underscores BDO’s unwavering commitment to exemplary corporate governance, outstanding investor relations, and strategic leadership in the financial sector.
The accolades highlight the bank’s dedication to maintaining high standards of transparency, accountability, and sustainable business practices.
The Asian Excellence Awards are designed to recognize the achievements and excellence in management acumen, financial performance, corporate social responsibility, environmental practices and investor relations.
Japan ambassador pays courtesy call on GMA Network
GMA Network officials led by its president and CEO Gilberto Duavit, Jr. welcomed Japan’s Ambassador to the Philippines Endo Kazuya and his team at the GMA Network Center on July 12, 2024.
In his message, Duavit recalled launching the Network’s international channel in Japan and highlighted the ongoing participation of GMA talents in various events for Filipinos there.
Duavit also mentioned the Network’s collaboration with the Japanese government on various socio-civic projects.
GMA Kapuso Foundation had also become a partner of the Japanese government. In 2019, the Japanese embassy gave a grant to our foundation to build a multi-story, seven-classroom school building in Marawi City.
Endo, in turn, expressed gratitude for GMA Network’s hospitality and acknowledged its role in strengthening the bond between the two countries.
Endo was also given a tour of the network’s newsroom. This was followed by an exclusive interview with GMA Integrated News anchor Vicky Morales, during which the ambassador discussed the recently signed Reciprocal Access Agreement between Japan and the Philippines, collaborative efforts in disaster response, and opportunities for Filipinos in Japan, among other major issues.
GCash provides lending solutions for sustainable growth

Design Systemat president Paolo Buñag has gained associate membership to the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP), the leading professional body for packaging education and training in Australasia.
The AIP covers Australia, New Zealand, and parts of Asia.
Buñag, who is a director and past president of the Packaging Institute of the Philippines (PIP) and a board director of the World Packaging Organization for the Philippines, has represented the country in international packaging industry forums on such topics as packaging technology, food & packaging innovation, and sustainability.

Teleperformance Ph supports Kythe Foundation’s Summer Nature Camp
Teleperformance Philippines’ corporate social responsibility arm, Citizens of the World (COTW) Philippines, supported Kythe Foundation’s Summer Nature Camp 2024 for children with chronic illness.
Teleperformance’s partnership with Kythe started way back in 2008.
In this year’s camp, Teleperformance leaders and employees spent a day volunteering for the annual camp. The volunteers engaged in various fun activities with the children and distributed essential items to ensure their well-being.
Teleperformance Philippines CEO Rahul Jolly, added, “Through the help of our team at Citizens of the World, TP Philippines’ decade-long partnership with Kythe Foundation is a testament to our organization’s commitment to making a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families facing immense health challenges.”

Beko, a global home appliance brand, has been recently recognized by TIME Magazine and Statista’s first-ever list of the World’s Most Sustainable Companies of 2024.
The brand reached an incredible feat, ranking 44th and is considered as the highest-ranking home appliance company in the list. This underscores Beko’s unwavering efforts and position as a leader in eco-friendly practices within the manufacturing sector.
Beko achieved a commendable score of 75.68 out of 100, also ranking fourth in the “manufacturing and industrial production” sector.
