Clark investments, jobs grow in Jan-July

The Clark Development Corp. (CDC) registered P154.6 billion investments in the first seven months of the year generating additional 5,295 additional jobs.

CDC said 54 new locators invested in Clark bringing the total number of locators to 1,092 for the seven-month period compared with 1,038 companies at the end of 2018.

From 122,973 employees last year, the workers in this Freeport also grew to a total of 128,268 as of the first seven months.

Industrial firms employ the biggest number of workers with 46,809 or 36.49 percent of the total number of workers while the information communication technology s the second largest with 22, 827 employees or 17.8 percent followed by estate developers with 21,806; service industry, 16,317 and; tourism, 10,241 employees.

CDC’s top investors include Global Gateway Development Corp. , Yokohama Tires Philippines Inc., SFA Semiconductor Philippines Inc., Asian Aerospace Corp. and Premiere Central Inc.
