Former Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) undersecretary Roberto Bernardo on Thursday told the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee that Sen. Francis “Chiz” Escudero allegedly received some P160 million in kickbacks from anomalous government infrastructure projects.
Bernardo said the kickback was coursed to a certain Meynard Ngu.
He said he personally delivered the cash to Ngu’s office in Manila.
“After inclusion of the projects in the GAA (General Appropriations Act), I delivered 20 percent of approximately P800 million or about P160 million to Meynard Ngu, which was meant for Senator Escudero,” Bernardo said.
