Castrol celebrates its 125th Anniversary in Cebu

NORTH Trend Marketing Corporation (NTM), the master distributor of Castrol in the Philippines, hosted its 2nd National Conference to commemorate Castrol’s 125th anniversary at Nustar Hotel Resort and Casino in Cebu City.

The event aimed to update NTM distributors on the company’s 2024 plans and recognize top performers from 2023. The program commenced with opening remarks from NTM Chief Finance Officer, Emily Jane Ang Quilacio, expressing gratitude to partner distributors for their unwavering support for both the Castrol brand and NTM. “Despite the challenges we faced, our loyal partners stood by us, demonstrating remarkable commitment throughout our journey.”

NTM chief operating officer Ronald Ang emphasized the need for adaptability in light of emerging trends such as the shift to sustainable energy, diverse e-commerce platforms, rising e-vehicle sales, and infrastructure improvements. “Our distributors must remain flexible and adaptive to thrive in this changing landscape. Together, we can position Castrol as the preferred lubricant choice for Filipinos.”

Castrol Philippines market liaison manager Ronald Allan Cinco echoed this sentiment, highlighting Castrol’s evolution into an integrated energy company. While the brand may evolve, Cinco emphasized that Castrol’s essence remains focused on meeting evolving customer needs.

Regarding NTM’s 2024 marketing and operations plan, NTM sales director Grace Lao Torrejas announced upcoming changes to Castrol’s packaging. “Castrol is committed to supporting all activations to propel its journey towards becoming the leading lubricant brand in the Philippines.”

NTM chief executive officer Jeffrey Ang concluded the program by congratulating the top distributors of 2023. “We will intensify our efforts this year to establish Castrol as the foremost lubricant brand in the minds of consumers.”
