The Bureau of Customs (BOC) on Tuesday said importers can now test the beta version of its newly upgraded online tax estimator.
The enhanced tool is designed to provide a more precise, more accurate, and user-friendly breakdown of import duties, taxes, and other charges.
The upgrade is part of the agency’s ongoing digital modernization program.
The public can access the beta version at customs.gov.ph/estimator.
Feedback can be sent to the bureau at mistg@customs.gov.ph to help refine the tool before its full launch.
“This initiative demonstrates our determination to improve systems that directly serve the public,” said Customs commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno.
“We are offering a more accessible tool while ensuring assessments remain fully guided by the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act,” he added.
The BOC said all calculations from the estimator remain provisional and are subject to final assessment by customs officers.
