BDO, BPI most mentioned banks in PH: Isentia

Banco de Oro (BDO) and Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) are the top mentioned brands of banks in the Phillippines, according to media monitoring firm Isentia.

Drawing from media analytics data obtained from mainstream media coverage and social conversations in the last quarter of 2020 between October 1, and November 15, 2020), Isentia uncovered top most mentioned brands of banking, insurance, and financial services in the region.

Leading on the media coverage are BDO in the Philippines (2,043 articles), JP Morgan Chase in Singapore (2,105 mainstream articles mentions), Maybank in Malaysia (287 articles), Vietcombank (4,081 articles), and AXA in both Indonesia (11,162 articles) and Thailand markets (118 articles).

In the social media world, BPI (15,905 buzzes), Barclays in Singapore (17,011 buzzes), Maybank in Malaysia (41,732 buzzes), Airpay in Vietnam (20,336 buzzes), AXA in Indonesia (98,688 buzzes), and SCB Bank in Thailand (26,214 buzzes) have dominated the conversations in each respective markets.

Insurance companies and banks across the Southeast Asia markets raced to provide several relief initiatives to their customers.

In the Philippines, the insurance brands focus was on finances and health.
