Apo Agua to hire 3K workers for Davao project

Apo Agua Infrastructura Inc. is targeting to hire over 3,000 additional workers by November to ramp up construction works for the Davao City bulk water supply project of the Davao City Water District (DCWD).

The company said this will bring the total target manpower requirement to 4,500 from the current 1,500.

Works for the project were put on hold in April in compliance with the enhanced community quarantine. Construction activities resumed in May.

The company said the additional manpower will help expedite the completion of the first part of the project being handled by Apo Agua which involves the construction of raw water facilities, hydroelectric power plant, water treatment plant, treated water pipelines and facilities for various off-take points in the city.

Among the skilled laborers needed for the project are carpenters, masons, steel men, rebar fitters, pipefitters, machine and equipment operators, signalmen, watchmen and utility personnel.
