Ambassador Endo Kazuya met with Carlito Galvez Jr., presidential adviser on Peace, Reconciliation, and Unity, on April 24 to discuss the progress of the peace process in Mindanao.
During the meeting, Kazuya reaffirmed Japan’s commitment to supporting peace and development in the Bangsamoro region as the peace process nears its conclusion, particularly with the upcoming 2025 Bangsamoro Parliament election.
In turn, Galvez warmly welcomed Kazuya and expressed gratitude for Japan’s longstanding support for the peace process spanning over two decades, as well as the potential for future collaboration.
