With the easing of dining restrictions across the Philippines, ALL – Accor Live Limitless is inviting its members to enjoy gastronomic experiences at participating restaurants and bars under Accor brands such as Sofitel, Novotel, Raffles, Fairmont and Mí¶venpick. Members of Accor’s lifestyle loyalty programme will now earn ALL rewards points when dining at hotels, which can then be redeemed for hotel stays or other selected experiences. Members who prefer to enjoy dining in the comfort of their home can also earn ALL points as well as an additional 10% discount for any takeaway or delivery order until December 31.
To celebrate the launch of #TasteTheRewards, ALL members will earn triple loyalty points for all dining and deliveries from June 18 until July 17. Accor Plus members will enjoy a 20% discount for takeaway or delivery order.

Novotel Manila Araneta City’s The 6th Manila offers all-time favourites dishes while Take Me Out has Ready-to-Eat menu, the Ready-to-Cook menu and the Ready-to-Reheat menu.
Smart, PLDT-Smart Foundation deploy gensets
Smart Communications Inc. and PLDT-Smart Foundation (PSF) have deployed generator sets to typhoon-prone provinces. They have distributed 37 generator sets in areas that are often hit by typhoons in Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
They are currently on standby in Pampanga, Bulacan, La Union, Pangasinan, Cagayan, Isabela, Leyte, Cebu, Negros Occidental, Iloilo, Quezon, Camarines Sur, Albay, Catanduanes, Sorsogon, Davao Del Sur, Davao Del Norte, Agusan Del Norte, and Surigao Del Sur.
Alongside generator sets, Smart normally deploys Libreng Charging, Tawag and WiFi booths in heavily impacted areas as communication aid for affected residents. These pop-up booths are often the lifeline of residents to the outside world.
COS opens 1st PH store
COS, the London-based fashion brand opened its first store in the Philippines on the upper ground floor of SM Aura Premier.
The 380-square meter store space is designed with the brand’s minimalist aesthetics and sustainability in mind. Housing both women’s and men’s collections, the store debuts with the Summer 2021 collection.

J&J backs fight vs TB
Johnson & Johnson (Philippines), Inc. in cooperation with the Department of Medical Microbiology, College of Public Health, University of the Philippines-Manila and the local Department of Health (DOH) are expanding the roll-out of online learning platform Tuberculosis (TB) Academy to three key regions to build the country’s capacity to respond to multi-drug resistant (MDR-)TB cases.
The collaboration aims to institutionalize the TB Academy and the sustainability and support of the National Tuberculosis Program (NTP) of the DOH.
The expansion is set to include cities within the National Capital Region (NCR), Region 3, and Region 4A, which have been identified as the three key regions with the highest incidence rates of TB in the country. Participants from other provinces will be invited.
Dr. Vicente Belizario Jr., dean of the UP College of Public Health, said the expansion will include TB treating clinicians in the Programmatic Management of Drug-resistant TB (PMDT) and Directly Observed Treatment, Short Course (DOTS) facilities as well as nurses and medical technologists, “to democratize the knowledge and skill sets in treating patients with MDR-TB.”

SCPA’s HIIGENE Program awards grants to local startups
Together with the Asian Institute of Management-Dado Banatao Incubator (AIM-DBI), Sanitary Care Products Asia (SCPA) has launched the social accelerator program called the Human Investment x Impact Grant for Entrepreneurship and Empowerment or the HIIGENE Program.
The HIIGENE Program is the very first collaboration of a local company and a business incubator, crafted according to the Sio family’s goal to support local entrepreneurs. SCPA aspires to help build an industry of people-first enterprises, boost the economy, and improve the lives of many through innovation.
Qualified startups from the AIM-DBI pool went through a rigorous selection process led by SCPA executives, members of the academe, and the corporate world. Five finalist were picked from 11 startups which presented their innovations, purpose, and their plans through a pitch presentation.
Equity-free cash grants of up to P500,000 each await three startups. From July to September, they will participate in a 6-session mentorship program with SCPA executives.
Culminating activities will be held at SCPA’s silver anniversary celebration in October.
EastWest’s free InstaPay service extended
EastWest has extended its free InstaPayservice via EastWest Online and Mobile until July 31. Its PESONet service meantime, remains free.
With InstaPay, customers can transfer up to P50,000 per transaction, credited instantly to the recipient’s account in any local bank.
EastWest’s PESONet service allows customers to conveniently send larger amounts of up to PHP 2,000,000, credited within the same banking day (subject to cut-off) in just a single transfer. The transfer limit of up to PHP 2,000,000 sis one of the highest among banks in the Philippines.
