Inflation picked up pace to 1.5 percent in August from July’s 0.9 percent, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said on Friday.
The new rate, however, is slower than the 3.3 percent recorded in August 2024.
This brought the average inflation rate for the eight months to August 2025 to 1.7 percent, PSA data showed.
