The Metropolitan Waterworks and Sewerage System-Regulatory Office (MWSS-RO) has directed Manila Water Co. Inc. and Maynilad Water Services Inc. to extend the suspension of all service disconnection activities until the lifting of the current modified enhanced community quarantine (MECQ).
In a statement, MWSS-RO said it also asked the concessionaires to continue providing uninterrupted 24-hour water supply in their service areas for the health and sanitation requirements of their customers.
The MWSS-RO has asked for the continued cooperation and assistance of local government units to allow concessionaires conduct their meter reading and billing activities during the MECQ. -Jed Macapagal
