Philippine Telegraph and Telephone Co. (PT&T) has entered into a partnership with US-based technology firm Virtalus to expand its service offerings for enterprise clients.
With the partnership, PT&T will offer public and private cloud solutions to enterprise clients in the Philippines using Virtalus technology.
“Our partnership with Virtalus enables PT&T to launch value for money cloud services to empower more businesses,” said James Velasquez, PT&T president and chief executive officer (CEO)
Velasquez added the company will venture further in the information technology (IT) space by partnering with an established global IT service provider,
Besides the Philippines, Virtalus architects and deploys cloud infrastructure solutions that have been providing Software Defined Data Center Services to organizations around the world including US, Mexico, Pakistan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Its flagship architecture Virtalus HyperCX Bento simplifies data center operations, streamlining the deployment, management, and scaling of data center resources–delivering better cloud performance at a reasonable price.
Early this year, PT&T partnered with 5GS Security, Inc. to provide cybersecurity solutions to enterprises in the country.
PT&T holds a 25-year franchise which allows the company to establish, maintain, and operate both wired and wireless telecommunications systems for domestic and international communications in the country.
Its existing network and infrastructure, spanning over 10,000 kilometers of pure fiber optic cables, allow PT&T to meet the network demands of customers in the Greater Manila area and nearby towns in North and South Luzon.
