Megaworld Corp. said it is building a 33,000-square-meter mall in San Fernando, Pampanga to be called Capital Mall and this will rise in its 35.6-hectare Capital Town development.
To be completed in 2022, Capital Mall will be built for P1.8 billion. Construction begins by the first half of next year.
The mall will be operated and managed under the Megaworld Lifestyle Malls brand.
“As a tribute to the legacy of Pampanga’s oldest sugar mill, we will build the Capital Mall with its rich cultural heritage in mind,” said Kevin Tan, Megaworld chief strategy officer.
The Capital Mall will have a landscaped garden for restaurants and cafes “surrounded by water ponds and century-old trees,” Megaworld said.
It will also have four cinemas, a food hall and a shophouse strip.
Tan said the food hall “will sport an industrial architecture,” while the cinemas will feature the 1960s charm and ambience.
Megaworld said Capital Mall will have “sustainability features” like solar roofing provisions and rainwater harvesting facility.
