The Philippines is seeking partnerships from ST Engineering on infrastructure  and aerospace particularly on maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) where the country has a competitive advantage.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in a statement said Secretary Alfredo Pascual in a meeting in Singapore last week discussed with Vincent Chong, ST Engineering’s group president and chief executive officer, potential investments and collaboration in public-private partnerships, aerospace and MRO and smart city initiatives.

ST Engineering is a global technology, defense, and engineering group with a diverse portfolio of businesses across the aerospace, smart city, defense, and public security segments

“The Philippines, with its growing aviation sector, offers a prime market for ST Engineering’s advanced MRO services,” Pascual said, adding the Philippine delegation also presented the potential for ST Engineering to extend its smart city technologies and offerings to the country.
