Converge rolls out hotel technologies

Converge CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said the company intends to further stimulate digital transformation among hotel industry players.

The company, Uy said, will offer solutions that enable both operations management efficiency and superior hotel services.

“Our innovative hotel technology is already underway with the forecasted full recovery in our tourism. We are building not just the technology, but the whole ecosystem to support our local hospitality sector,” he said.

Uy said he sees the surging demand for in-room entertainment, prompting Converge to develop a comprehensive solution that integrates connectivity, operations management, and versatile streaming options for guests.

“All of these, we are incorporating in a single platform as made possible by our digital infrastructure. The technology is an all-in-one solution, making things a lot more convenient and easy, you would no longer ask for more,” he added.

Uy said Converge is ready to serve hotel and other lodging companies.

Converge unveiled last year its Converge Workplace Hotel Management Solution, an all-in-one management system that automates different hotel processes such as reservations management, check-in and out, and sales channels tracking.

GAC Motor Philippines, under global mobility leader Astara, broke ground for GAC Motor Valenzuela.

Set to open in December, GAC Motor Valenzuela will be located on MacArthur Highway and shall feature a six-vehicle showroom and a fully equipped service center. The groundbreaking held on September 9 marked the first foray into the automotive industry for ADOT Motors Inc.

The future site will be a fully equipped 3S facility (Sales, Spare parts, and Service), designed in accordance with GAC’s international standards. The service centers are to be outfitted with advanced diagnostic equipment and specialized tools for GAC vehicles, and have extensive stocks of genuine spare parts to ensure fast and reliable service for all GAC MOTOR customers.

GAC MOTOR Philippines is on track to reach 38 dealerships, including appointments, by the end of 2024. Recent openings include locations in key cities such as Bacolod, General Santos City, Iloilo City, Marilao, San Fernando, Santa Rosa, and Cainta. Upcoming dealership locations include BGC, Calamba, Fairview, Tacloban, Matina, and Zamboanga.

Later this week, the brand will inaugurate two new locations at Kawit, Cavite and Mindanao Avenue, Quezon City, on the same day.

Discovery Samal hosts fund raiser

Discovery Samal in partnership with the Davao Fashion and Design Council Foundation, Inc is hosting a fashion fundraiser event , the Stellar Fashion Gala on September 28 at the Samal Grand Ballroom.

The fundraiser is for the benefit of b.LOOM Project’s weaving communities and Mindanao Trade Expo Foundation, Inc. (MTEFI), a foundation that reaches out to grassroots communities.

Security Bank empowers businesses

Trade fair records P73M sales

The 2024 DTI Bagong Pilipinas National Trade Fair (NTF) generated P73.1 million in combined cash sales, booked orders, and orders under negotiation for participating micro, small, and medium enterprises.

Held at the Megatrade Halls of SM Megamall from August 21 to 25, the event drew nearly 28,000 visitors and showcased the best of Filipino craftsmanship and innovation under the theme, “Go Green! Go Local!”

Organized by the Department of Trade and Industry, the NTF convened over 270 exhibitors from across the regions. This diverse gathering showcased the best of Filipino craftsmanship, including Halal products, coconut-based innovations, novelty items, holiday decorations, and home furnishings.
