The Bureau of the Treasury (BTr) has fully awarded bids for the treasury bills auctioned yesterday even as rates rose across all tenors.

The BTr said in a statement that total tenders reached P45.7 billion, more than thrice the P15 billion offer.

The 91-day paper fetched a rate of 1.082 percent, 1.4 basis points (bps) up from the previous average of 1.068 percent.

Tenders totaled to P17.045 billion, more than three times oversubscribed versus the P5 billion fully awarded offer.

For the 182-day securities, the rate is 1.401 percent, 1.7 bps higher versus the previously recorded yield of 1.384 percent.

Demand reached P15.88 billion, also thrice the P5-billion program which was awarded.

Lastly, the yield of the 364-day IOU is 1.629 percent, up by 3.6 bps from the previous average of 1.593 percent.

Tenders amounted to P12.815 billion versus the P5- billion program.

Last week, the BTr also fully awarded bids for the treasury bills auctioned even as rates rose versus previous levels.

“Rates moved slightly higher as peso breached P50:$1 mark,” Rosalia de Leon, national treasurer, said a week ago. – Angela Celis
