President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. led the turnover of 91 Patient Transport Vehicles (PTVs) for Northern Mindanao and the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) at the Pelaez Sports Center in Cagayan de Oro City today, April 22, 2025.

This significant distribution is part of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s (PCSO) broader national initiative to enhance healthcare accessibility and emergency response capabilities. Of the 91 vehicles, 85 will serve various municipalities and cities across Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Bukidnon, Camiguin, Lanao del Norte, and Lanao del Sur, while six are designated for BARMM.
The turnover is part of the ₱2.2 billion budget allocated for the nationwide distribution of 1,000 ambulances. Each state-of-the-art PTV comes equipped with essential medical tools including stretchers, oxygen tanks, and blood pressure monitors to ensure safe patient transportation.
This effort complements PCSO’s ongoing Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives elsewhere in the country. Just twelve days prior, on April 10, the agency donated crucial medical equipment to Barangay Buenavista in Magdalena, Laguna. The donation led by PCSO Assistant General Manager for Charity Sector Arnel Casas and received by Barangay Captain Felino R. Pabricio, included 10 wheelchairs, 10 canes, 10 nebulizers, 10 blood pressure monitors, 10 thermal scanners, and 10 glucometers.

“This generous assistance will go a long way in helping our residents manage their health and mobility needs,” Captain Pabricio remarked during the ceremony at the PCSO Conservatory Building in Mandaluyong City.
Through its Medical Transport Vehicle Donation Program (MTVDP) and targeted equipment donations, the PCSO continues to fulfill its mission of supporting the healthcare needs of Filipinos nationwide, particularly in underserved communities, demonstrating its commitment to public service beyond its primary role as a lottery agency.
