LANDBANK President and CEO Lynette V. Ortiz and development partners will lead the awarding ceremony today, August 8, 2025, for the inaugural Gawad TANYAG (TANging YAman at Galing) — a prestigious awards program honoring exemplary clients who embody the Bank’s values of partnership, loyalty, and excellence.
Gawad TANYAG shines a spotlight on clients from various sectors who have demonstrated exceptional performance in their operations and contributed significantly to uplifting communities through financial inclusion and development support. These awardees embody LANDBANK’s mission of inclusive growth and countryside development, built on years of strong and enduring partnerships with the Bank.

GAWAD PITAK
Gawad PITAK (Gawad sa Pinakatanging Kooperatiba) honors the country’s top cooperatives for their financial strength, good governance, and deep commitment to uplifting members and communities.
Agri-Based Cooperatives

Cooperative With only ₱33,000 in 2002, Alizar FST MPC grew to ₱42 million in assets, aiding 246 Nueva Ecija farmer-members through loans, farm inputs, and modern equipment.

Since 1988, this co-op has built a farmer-led ecosystem in Quirino, spanning agripreneurship, diversified businesses, infrastructure, and electrification projects.

This Davao del Sur-based cooperative rose to become a model of agricultural progress, offering affordable loans, modern machinery, and services that uplift farmers and communities.

Since 1992, this cooperative has supplied certified inbred seeds across regions, playing a key role in rice production and improving livelihoods for seed growers.

Established in 2016 by two irrigators’ associations, Panabingan MPC now serves 231 members, offering agri-loans, inputs, and machinery rental.

Non-Agri-Based Cooperatives

Founded in 1993 by 15 DAR employees, this co-op now serves 446 members across Aurora through 13 lending windows offering salary, education, and livelihood loans.

Registered in 2011, the ASKI Employees Credit Cooperative has grown to over 800 members and now offers a full range of loans through its online portal.

Formed in 2018 by LGU employees, Ating Ani now serves nearly 1,500 members by offering low-interest loans, insurance, agri-supplies, and TESDA-led vocational programs.

From only ₱15,800 in 1986, this Bulacan-based co-op grew into a ₱2-billion cooperative that supports farmers, fishers, and small businesses, while spearheading social initiatives.

Founded in 2008, Providers MPC grew from a modest savings group into Isabela Province’s first billionaire cooperative, diversifying into real estate, retail, and agricultural support.

This co-op grew its LANDBANK credit line from ₱5 million to ₱300 million, creating more opportunities for farmers, women, and families through meaningful services.

Ulirang Magsasaka
Ulirang Magsasaka pays tribute to individual farmers whose dedication, hard work, and adoption of sustainable and innovative farming practices uplift their families, communities, and the nation’s agriculture sector.

Starting with only three rented hectares, Deodany now runs 20 hectares of farmland and helps fellow farmers adopt innovative practices to improve their livelihoods.

From a small farmholder to managing 20 hectares in Nueva Ecija, Ben modernized his farm and uplifts others through agri-leadership and knowledge sharing.

Hailed as the Father of Citrus Farming in Nueva Vizcaya, Alfonso turned Malabing Valley into a citrus hub, spurring local development and infrastructure boom.

Ulirang Mangingisda
Ulirang Mangingisda honors outstanding fishers for their excellence, resilience, and commitment to sustainable fishing. Their practices help secure livelihoods, protect marine ecosystems, and ensure the country’s food security.

A self-taught tilapia farmer in Aurora, Agrifina expanded to seven ponds covering 1.8 hectares and now mentors others while diversifying into various farm ventures.

A former part-time fisher, Joel turned into commercial fishing in 2015 and now operates two vessels supporting 30 fishers and contributing to national food security.

After losing his Cebu bangus farm to Typhoon Odette, Teodulo rebuilt operations and now sustains markets, livelihoods, and his children’s education.

Gawad MSME honors exceptional micro, small, and medium enterprises that drive local economies through innovation, resilience, and job creation. They embody the spirit of Filipino enterprise and progress in communities nationwide.
Agri-Based Enterprises

Founded in 1997 in Cebu, Central Seafoods is a leader in sustainable aquaculture and exports premium seafood across global markets.

From humble roots in 2006, Jollypig now supplies meat to over 60+ supermarkets while empowering employees to become agri-preneurs themselves.

Grew from a roadside stand into a zero-waste farm-to-table restaurant and hatchery in Sultan Kudarat, providing support for local and IP communities.

Operating since 2021 in Sultan Mastura, Maguindanao, M & R Poultry Farm pioneered halal egg production in BARMM and supplies Cotabato City and nearby provinces.

Lion Heart provides employment and skills training alongside security services in Capiz, with strong community programs and generous benefits for personnel.

The Guanzons operate a green Total Station along NLEX that uses solar energy and wastewater treatment systems, providing jobs and continuing operations amid crises.

From a small tile stall in 2012, the couple built a full-service hardware store in Pampanga, supporting workers and the local community.

What began as church-based training became a TESDA-accredited tech-voc school for at-risk youth, uplifting both students and their families through job-ready skills.

Gawad PFI (Partner Financial Institution) honors top countryside and microfinance institutions that advance financial inclusion and sustainable growth. They empower rural communities by delivering essential financial services and expanding access to economic opportunities.

This microfinance NGO empowers women and families through microfinance and community livelihood programs inspired by the Grameen model of Dr. Muhammad Yunus.

Serving 2.2 million women nationwide, ASA provides affordable loans and training to strengthen rural livelihoods and resilience towards a better future.

This microfinance NGO supports nearly 100,000 clients nationwide with microfinance loans — including green financing — alongside values formation and community programs.

This cooperative bank, owned by farmer cooperatives, now serves 114 co-ops and rural clients in Luzon primarily catering to small farmers and businesses.
